Active Guitar Expander Unit

This is the Artec Expand to Peak Controller Unit. The "EXP" is a built-in "Cure All" for tone junkies. First of all, this multi tasking unit features a push/pull on/off sending the unit to a bypass mode when you pull up on your knob. When in the down position, the knob functions as a Tone Expander. In the center (knob at about 5), it is a Flat Boost (no EQ change in your tone, but adds lots of Sustain, and Harmonic Boost). As you turn your knob up, you also increase the Midrange in your sound. However, if you turn the knob in the other direction, you boost the High end of your tone (like and adjustable Bright Switch). Easy installation with any Passive or Active pickups in your Guitar or Bass (no modification needed, as it just replaces one of your tone pots). Powered by a 9v battery (1 battery will last more than 4000 hours!!!). You will receive the Unit itself, as it is pictured, with a Battery Clip, & Stereo Input Jack (incase the one you have on your guitar is Mono), as well as a wiring installation wiring diagram (very easy to follow).

Want to hear it before you buy it? I recorded these 4 Sound Samples after I installed one of these units on a Jackson Soloist (with a standard Dimarzio PAF Pro Humbucker in the bridge position). I ran it into a Marshall JCM Amp (all of the EQ settings and whatnot, were left the same for all 4 samples).

• Sound Sample 1 : Bypass (Knob pulled up, turns the unit off). This is the "dry signal" of just my guitar & amp.

• Sound Sample 2 : Flat Boost (Knob at about 5).
