Get ready to rock!!! For those of you that are not familiar with active guitar electronics, these pickups are powered by a standard 9v battery (1 battery should last you about 2000 playing hours and is only drained when your guitar is plugged in).
The power from the 9v battery is used to power a tiny Active Internal Preamp built inside the pickup (in the case of these pickups, the preamp increases sustain, adds depth, and enhances overall response sensitivity. These pickups are driven by Anisotropic Ferrite Magnets (a High-end Ceramic), and they read out with an ultra high output of about 57.4k Ohms. However, each pickup is Epoxy Potted to control unwanted noise and feedback. Be sure to check out the Sound Sample so you can hear them rip!!!
Your pickup will come to you, along with a Wiring Diagram to show you how to hook them up (Wiring Info for this item is also available on our Wiring Page). Like with all other active pickups, it is recommended that you use Control Pots rated at 25k, if you need some we have them available Here.
