Our Active Pickups wire up like most Active Pickups (including EMG). There are hundreds of variations on how to wire a guitar pickup, and there are tons of places online to get all sorts of diagrams. The diagram shown is the basis for wiring your active pickup(s). Any additions you may need (switches, additional controls, etc…) are to be wired in using that item’s usual wiring method (however, to use your active pickup to it’s maximum potential, it is recommended that you use 25k rated control pots. Also, we recommend only using an Alkaline 9v battery, and only using 1 battery for each set of pickups (1 battery is plenty of power to run several pickups at once).
NOTE: Do not keep your guitar’s “Ground” connected to the ground source (usually to the Trem Claw, Bridge Plate or Post, etc…). Active pickups are grounded internally, and connection to any outside sources may cause hum, buzz, or possible electric shock.
